Well fear not, I’m here to let you in on a couple secrets why STU Arts Dance is expat cityyy and why everyone is checking us out! Here are 5 reasons why expats are loving STU Arts Dance.

1. New experiences

If you are new to Brussels you might be interested in having new experiences. You did move all the way over here, might as well try something new! STU Arts is a great way to try something you might have not done before, it is a great way to get to know other expats while also doing something fun and energetic like dancing. You can meet people from other countries, get to know the ins and outs of the best spots in the city and start making Brussels your home.

2. Accessibility is Key.

Located in Central Brussels, STU Arts Dance holds accessibility as one of its main priorities. With easy access to multiple public transportation routes, not only is finding us simple, but you won't have to worry about when and where the bus/tram will come. Not only will you have access to public transport, but accessibility to parking spots for both cars and bikes is conveniently located around us.

3. STU Arts is an English Speaking community

If you are looking for a community that is English speaking STU Arts Dance is the one for you. While Brussels holds home to millions of people from all over the world, French is one of the official languages of the land and if your French is not where you would like it to be or even non-existent STU Arts is an English speaking community where you are free to communicate at your own comfort level. STU Arts Dance is also home to people who speak multiple languages so you might end up meeting someone from your hometown, How cool is that?!

4. Opportunities to make new friends

Looking to make new friends in Brussels? Definitely check out STU Arts Dance, not only will you be dancing to some wicked music and learning some sick moves, you also have the opportunity to branch out and meet new people. STU Arts is filled with some amazing people who are both from Belgium and outside of Belgium. You will be able to dance, create some fun memories and start up some pretty cool friendships!

5. Staying active and having fun while doing so

Want to start getting healthy but in a fun way? Try dancing. Dancing is a great way to take some time out of your day to just enjoy yourself; enjoy that healthy lifestyle but also have fun while doing so. Whether you used to go to a gym back home, go running in a gym or even use those stairs in your building as your means of exercise, keeping fit in a new place might be the last thing on your mind but a great way to implement a new routine is by joining STU Arts Dance classes online or in person.

6. STU Arts Dance is more than just a dance class

At STU Arts, we are more than just a dance class. While we do offer some amazing classes to get you started on your dancing journey, we have a special community that goes beyond the four walls of a studio. Each week we engage in an ECD brunch session where about 6-10 of us all head out after class to one of our favourite café’s where we order food, catch up on life and meet new faces! If you are a new expat this is a perfect way to get familiar with some amazing spots Brussels has to offer while also meeting new friends! Beyond just grabbing lunch after class, we hold monthly events where we pick different activities to do together. In the past we have gone to karaoke, axe throwing, grabbing drinks, and have plans to go bowling, participating in an escape room and laser tag! (keeping it safe of course). In the heart of it, we really try to make it a great experience and easy transition for expats in a new country.

So come join us! STU Arts is a great place if you are a new expat or have even lived here quite a while, we will be happy to have you! Come join Thursdays and Sundays in the studio (hopefully soon) where you can learn to shimmy and shake, learn some wicked cool dance moves and meet some awesome people! For more information on how to get started with us, check out our website here to learn more about what we have to offer!
