4 Ways You can Dance it out at Home

Updated: May 16, 2021

The world is a hectic place, always moving, always on the go and sometimes life can be overwhelming. In addition to this, the world can also spring up some unexpected things that require us to slow down and take a step back. As of late the world is witnessing one of the scariest events with lockdowns occurring, halted travels, and pleas to stay at home and not go out. With all of this in mind, this can be very overwhelming for many, and with life now under quarantine you may find yourself bored, stressed, or just want to do something to take your mind off everything; what better way than to dance? Here are 4 ways you can dance it out at home.

1. Kick-Start your day with some energy!

With days spent at home all day, you can easily feel cooped up with nothing to do and next thing you know you’re sitting on your bed scrolling through your phone looking at the same things over and over. A great way to start your day is by some good old jam sessions in the morning to get your energy lifted. So blast on your favourite Spotify playlist and let loose in your bed room and have fun. This also helps you get in a great mood for the rest of the day!

2. Dance it out with your family/ friends

With all of this craziness going on, it is sort of like a blessing in disguise in which you can catch up with your friends, family, or roommates; it is a great time to chill out, and take some time to relax. So why not have a dance party with your friends and family?! Take turns playing your favourite songs, maybe some iconic classics and jam it out in the living room. Not only will you have fun, but you will also be making the best out of a sticky situation with the ones you love!

3. Teach yourself that YouTube tutorial

Maybe you are looking through some dance videos on YouTube, Instagram or Facebook and you see one dance you absolutely love and want to learn. Now is the perfect time and opportunity to get some learning in! Crack open that laptop and learn some moves. Not only will you be learning, but by the time you get back to work or school you can show your co-workers and friends some awesome moves you learned while staying at home!

4. Take an Online Dance Class

The amazing thing about living in the 21st century is we have access to one of the most beautiful things ever—the internet! Even though you are technically at home, you essentially have access to the rest of the world. Online classrooms are not unique to many, but one amazing thing that not many people know about is online dance classes! Yep—you heard it right here (or in fact read it, but you know what I mean). Online dance classes help you continue what you love to do without feeling restricted. All you have to do is register online, have a little bit of space in your room or living room to move around and you are set! Even after all of that dancing you don’t have to travel back home, but instead walk over to your couch or bed and relax!
