From chair dance to slow dancing, discover why dance should be part of your self-care routine!

February has come at last and this month, our focus at Stu Arts Dance is all about love. Whether you share it with someone special, or you’re showing yourself some self love, you’ve come to the right place. Feel free to explore the many ways in which dance can be a form of self-love and a way to express your confident side.
Releasing Stress and Emotions
For many people, dance is a way to take a break away from the stress of everyday life and can be seen as a form of escapism. When you go to a dance class it gives you a sense of presence and can even be quite meditative. Taking this time out of your day to nourish your mental and physical health is a great form of self-love !
Embracing Imperfection
One of the best things about dance is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Unlike structured workouts or competitive activities, dancing for self- love is about enjoying the experience rather than achieving a certain level of skill. It teaches us to embrace our imperfections and love ourselves exactly how we are.
Connecting with Others
As we know dance can be a solo act or shared with others. It can feel extra rewarding make a moment even more special when we dance with a partner. We can share so much through dance and even a simple touch can help you feel more connected with someone. It’s a great way to spread love and create beautiful connections with others.
This valentines day book a class with us and show yourself some love. If your wanting to connect with your more confident, sensual side then our Chair Dance Workshops are the perfect opportunity for you to do so! Click here to find out more about our workshops.
